In Hospicio de San Jose, abandoned, surrendered, orphaned and neglected children — or those in difficult circumstances – are given the shelter and care they need while we submit documentary requirements for them to be considered legally-available for adoption by the DSWD.

During their stay with us, they are protected from further neglect and abuse — safe in a nurturing environment as they make their way towards a better life.

When ready for adoption, children are placed in permanent homes locally or abroad with the facilitation of Hospicio de San Jose. Meanwhile, children who are neglected, dependent and whose home situations hinder the child’s normal development are provided with temporary residential care for a period of six months to one year, while the parents are being prepared for their eventual reunification.
